Why DPFs clog

Short trips never get the exhaust hot enough to burn soot off. Over time the filter loads, regenerations come more often and eventually the truck derates. A service regeneration can clear it, but if the root cause is an injector, EGR or sensor fault, the filter will load again.

DEF problems

Contaminated or old DEF, failed heaters in cold weather and crystallized dosing injectors are the usual causes. We test DEF concentration with a refractometer before replacing parts.

Factory operation only

We do not delete or defeat emissions equipment. Repairs are done to factory specification so the truck stays legal, keeps its warranty coverage where it still applies, and keeps its resale value.
