Electrical, Battery & Starting in Andover, KS

Electrical & battery repair

Electrical problems are frustrating because they come and go. We load-test the battery, measure charging output and voltage drop, and trace parasitic drains with the vehicle asleep, the way the factory procedure calls for.

Bring it in if you notice

  • Slow crank or click with no start
  • Battery dies overnight
  • Dim or flickering lights
  • Battery or charging light on
  • Accessories that work intermittently
  • Burning plastic smell

How we handle it

  • Battery conductance / load test
  • Charging system output and ripple test
  • Starter draw and voltage drop testing
  • Parasitic draw test with modules asleep
  • Wiring and connector inspection
  • Battery registration where required

Dual-battery diesels

Diesel pickups with two batteries need both tested and usually replaced together. One weak battery will drag down the new one.

Battery registration

Many newer vehicles need the new battery registered with the body computer so the charging system treats it correctly. We do that as part of the install.
